Sustainability

Responsible use of resources – today and tomorrow

Sustainability

At Kvenna, sustainability means taking responsibility for how we use resources today – without compromising the needs of future generations. We work systematically to reduce waste, minimise environmental impact and improve the efficiency of our operations. This includes careful material selection in product design, responsible waste management, efficient transport coordination and energy-smart solutions for heating and power consumption.

We set annual targets for both residual waste and energy usage, which are monitored and reported through our yearly HSE report. All waste is sorted into categories for reuse or recycling, and we actively work to increase material reusability across our operations.

Kvenna is committed to continuous improvement in sustainability, and several of the UN Sustainable Development Goals are integrated into our strategy, policies and long-term objectives:

  1. Decent work and economic growth
  • Equal pay for equal work / collective agreements
  • Well-functioning employee organisations
  • Pension and insurance schemes
  • Norwegian language courses for employees
  • Focus on inclusion and good integration
  • Facilitating for foreign workers to thrive and stay

  1. Responsible consumption and production
  • Waste management
  • Substitution assessments of chemicals
  • Environmentally responsible surface treatment
  • 30-year lifespan for several products
  • Optimised transport coordination

Our environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001:2015, ensuring a structured and reliable framework for our sustainability efforts.
